Hook a small tube up to it and bend it then zip tie it. Ghetto but I'm sure it will work

I just connect the proper size tubing and add the proper size barbed ball valve to it. I like it because it allows me to drain the cup without removing it

Mines a new build so haven't gotten that thick skimmate yet though

Mine happened to be 3/8"

2PK of 3/8" ID PVC Ball Valves Hose Barb Connectors (3/8” ID) for Drip Irrigation Hoses and Aquariums https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074TTJP2X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Gbr6AbXQS7QM6

Drain to this. Super slim easily fits it my stand with little room for extras

1.1 Gallon Slimline Beverage Water Container Dispenser Pitcher with Spigot in Clear For Fridge/ Portable/Compact BPA Free https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0725BSJTL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Pdr6AbCTCXEKE

Depending on the size larger skimmers I use a ball valve but for my small one I use an air hose valve

I jb welded over the hole. Will never lose that thing ever again. I dont drain it into another container anyway. If you have to drain the cup you probably need to clean the cup. So its pointless

I know this is an old thread, but I measured the internal diameter of the drain port for my skimmer (Octo eSsence 130) and order some appropriately sized silicone plugs off of Amazon)

Believe it or not I lost my drain plug in the sump and used the squeeze bulb from an eye dropper. Fit like a glove.
