Puffer Problems

What are people feeding there Valentini puffers? my eat pellets and nothing else . trying to get some food to wear down his teeth, and have tried shrimp and squishing pellets into rocks for him to chew out. no luck with the pellets but he seems to like the shrimp but is that enough? thanks
