Puffer teeth issue

So my puffer fishes beak was overgrown and i read online how to trim them... well i did and months later now and his mouth on one side has suddenly swelled up i know it has to do with his teeth, which have grown back but are a tad crooked and he has an under bite. Does anyone have any advice? He is a green spotted puffer
