Show me your pufferfish!

I’m not much of a reefer, my wife is the main hobbyist in our house but I LOVE pufferfish. I hope to get a tank setup eventually for one!

What’s the best advice you can give me on keeping one? And what breed is the easiest?

I have always had porcupine puffers and have always housed them in my mixed reef.

I feed him a Medium raw shrimp every other day and once or twice a week i will pop open a little neck clam for him and the rest of the gang.

They have great personalities. Rushes to the side of the tank when you walk in a room. Gets inpatient if taking to long to prepare to feed and he will spit water out of the top of the tank at you.

I cant have a tank without one. But having one means there are limitation for what i can put in the tank. if he gets bored or hungry my hermits and snails go missing. No shrimp survive. I was gone for 2 days and he took a bite out of my horseshoe crab.

Sprinkles, my blue spotted toby puffer. Absolutely the life of the tank. Always happy to see me, especially when I have food.
