My return pump failed and it’s taken two days to get a replacement. I’ve got air pumps and power heads in the tank but nothing but a skimmer in the sump.

So is the sump water tainted? Do I need to get that water out?

Two days? Is there any sulfuric rotten egg smell, or otherwise rotten smell?
