I’m having an issue with my Red Sea 750 G2 AIO I have been running 2 years. My return pump( brand new/backup) is currently stalling the same as the original, both have been thoroughly taken apart and cleaned to keep my return going recently. The return is currently at 17% power output on my app. If I go above 24% it may gurgle and stall. I used to run my return at 90%, having dual outlet returns into the main.
A month ago, I did not change my roller mat roll for a length of time, and the overflow from tank is piped into that device first then to my refugium, through weirs to my skimmer, through a bubble trap and into the return chamber.
I was swamped with demands and might have changed something on the Redsea app or got playful with my sump one night and just put it in the background of an overloaded brain, but I am perplexed what happened after I finally put on a new roll for the roller mat and began having pump stall outs.
I have been playing around with this the last week. (Mopping water too). I added more water in the entire system, cleaned and repositioned return nozzles, (which I pointed much further down to reach the water line to prevent any air back flow off the return nozzle ports as the pump is priming and pressurizing, extra water volume in the sump, and then another pump stall, as the downward facing return outlets reverse siphoned plenty of sea outta the sump and over the top of my display.)
Under control for now I guess, I mean the floor was under water and lots of displeased words!
So this is some pressure issue? Maybe some sponge living in the plumbing, but I think I’ll be deep diving with RedSea support on this soon. Any thoughts?
