Be102, you have to be "caution " when handing Nems, corals and polyps, these are animals and they have their own way to depend themselves.
Like stinging cells and toxins.

I was able to handle all of the BTAs that I have owned without gloves and had no ill effects. I have a few mini carpets but handle those with gloves, mainly because they are insanely sticky and wigs me out for some unknown reason. Some people are more susceptible to stings than others, it all depends on the individual. I have never had a problem with anything in my tanks stinging me but I do seem to get a mild headache whenever dealing with zoas or palys. Good practice would be to wear gloves whenever dealing with anything in your tank.

Do you recommend any specific gloves? Will anything work? I originally had blue non powder latex (i think) gloves which I was afraid wouldn't be strong enough for the anemone. I then decided to get some heavy cleaning gloves. I guess my question is more about overall fish tank gloves as opposed to just grabbing an anemone.

Any of the rubber gloves you can find at hardware store but make sure it doesn't have any chemicals or extra powder for easy release.

I would get one of the gloves that says powder free in the description. There were many examples under the similar items. I do get stung by my bubble tips from time to time. I don't wear gloves and just deal with it, but it is certainly a good idea to wear gloves while dealing with anything in our tanks.

What color are they with lights off/ just white lighting? Mine looks Just like the last picture in the first post, but it's tan in normal room type lighting, and was tan with green tips at the lfs. In my tank it's purple with neon green tips.

Hi @esongt

Sorry for bringing up an old thread. Beautiful purple passions nems. Do you sell them by any chance? I have similar nems, but would like a purple passion to compare side by side. Thanks!
