Just noticed some spots on my purple Tang. Nothing new in the tank. Any ideas?

How long have you had him? My Gem developed a couple of white spots a few days after introduction, but went away after a couple of weeks. Those do look different though. Isaac may have a point.

I am no professional with those issues

But the experts will ask for a better pic and with white lights.

I have had him about 4 months. I will try to get more/better pics tomorrow. Thanks, all!

I see these as puncture wounds from snitching. If no urchin, sting marks from anemone
This should heal on its own however keep an eye On areas for healing and not becoming red or sore which will require treatment using seachem kanaplex

Great to know. The spots look slightly smaller today but it's hard to tell. No urchin in the tank but multiple anemones. Could be a sting for sure. Thanks again!

Sting is a likely option and great to hear
