Yes, they are hardy fish if cared for properly. Like any tang, they are susceptible to cryptocaryon and IMO should be quarantined and proactively treated for the parasite before introduction into the display. They can be very aggressive as well, especially to other tangs.

They are very hardy imo. I have had mine now for 5 years.
