Purplish strings in coral.

Hi Experts, i occasionally see this purplish/bluish string like thingy on corals (mainly LPS)... any idea what it could be?

Mesenterial filaments. Basically the guts of the coral.

It can come out anywhere on the coral, through the skin

It's not happy with something and trying to sting it away with the filaments.
