SCIENTIFIC NAME –Hemitaurichthys polylepsis

COMMON NAME – Pyramid Butterflyfish

SIZE– 7" (18 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 100 US Gal. (379 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING – The Pyramid Butterflyfish consumes marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, and frozen preparations. Should be fed a minimum of 3 times per day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY – Yes, if well fed.

CAPTIVE CARE – The Pyramid Butterflyfish prefers an environment with adequate swimming room. This species can be kept singly, in pairs, or in small groups as long as all specimens are introduced at the same time. It should be provided with peaceful tankmates during acclimation, but once acclimated it can be housed with moderately aggressive fish.
