When you treat a large batch, do you use a large tank with dividers or separate tanks? If separate tanks, can they be right next to each other since they all get copper?

I am currently helping @4FordFamily stock a large tank. So we have 2 extra 125s set up for larger fish and a post QT conditioning tank.

I typically use a 55, 40B, and 20l. I have a 10g for emergency and we have a spare 55g at @4FordFamily's house.

May basement is a wreck right now with fish tanks

Since this is treatment and not just observation, when you use more than one tank can you forgo the 10' rule?

Do you think dividing a big tank into smaller compartments to treat multiple fish is a good idea-as long as an emergency 10 gallon tank or two were handy?

Tanks you medicate in can be within 10 ft of each other. As long as you are at the same stage of the process in the tanks within 10'. I actually have enough room in my unfinished basement that I don't have a tank within 10' of another whether it's a copper tank, CP tank, or post transfer conditioning tank.

You can make compartments in a large tank. The risk is if you get something going haywire or a nasty gram negative infection running you can get into trouble if it's one large tank.
