Quarantine tank fo SPS/LPS

Hello everyone !
I'm in final stages of my new SPS tank ,and setting up new sperate QT tank for the new corals that will enter to DT after 90 days .

any recommendations about first treatment for sps frags ? especially red / white bugs ?

First treatment should probably be a dip in your coral dip of choice. I suggest doing it over a net, so that, if any cool beneficial critters fall off the coral, you can quickly grab up the net and put the whole thing in a container of clean water. Avoids killing brittle stars and whatnot.

90 day QT for coral is on the extreme end for most.

What pest are you trying to solve for? For red/white bugs, 24 hours in Interceptor will solve for them.

Oh, aiptasia are easy. If you spot one, just pull the frag out and cover the anemone in superglue. They can be a nasty pest, but they have to be all over the place for that. One or two that arrive on a frag are easy to fix. A couple weeks could be good to let them grow to visible size, if you're planning on gluing the frag and its plug into your tank where it would be hard to remove. If you take the coral off the plug entirely and transplant it, aiptasia stop being a concern; they won't be growing on the coral itself.

AEFW should be detectable by a dip and close inspection. If they're present, either adults will fall off in the dip, you'll be able to spot eggs, or both.

Buy from reputable vendors, not saying they are 100% but my exp has been clean corals, dip ,your choice but I like KCL for sps ,while basting and inspect using light and magnification, remount the frag on new plug or if u have to, cut the stem and use glue to secure it to a new plug. Then place in Qt system. As far as lps a dip would b fine and check for aiptasia. Again, use reputable vendors.
