Hey! so I currently am 2 and a half weeks through the quarantine of my Helfrichi fire fish. I came across a tomini tang at the lfs today, which I've been looking for for a while now, I couldn't pass him up! I'm wondering if there is any risk of quarantining them in the same tank timing wise. Is it fine to put the tang in with the fire fish and take the fire fish out in 4 days? or if I am to put them together should I just restart my fire fishes quarantine all over again to be safe. the fire fish so far isn't showing any signs of disease but I know you should generally wait 3 weeks to ensure that he is all clear. he has been in quarantine for 17 days now.
If any one has any suggestions that would be great!

Thanks a lot!

Hi,
Since you are bringing in a new fish, you would be exposing the firefish to disease. The best option would be to quarantine the tang in a separate QT, or restart the process all over again if they are in the same tank. Good luck!

Unless I'm misunderstanding current QT calls for 30 days in copper not 21.
Only mentioning it because you said you are following the protocol outlined here.
