Another update on my queen angel. Sadly, he is blind. Not sure what happened but his eyes appear OK physically and he didn’t show any signs of disease. I still have not seen him eating once since I posted about him not eating months ago but he must be eating something because he doesn’t appear to be losing body mass and would have probably died a long time ago.
I live in San Juan, Puerto Rico and after hurricane Maria, the fish were without power for 5 days yet they all made it through safe and sound. I couldn’t believe it. To reduce the amount of waste during the time they were without filtration, I reduced the amount of food. This led to one of the wrasses starting to bite the queen angel's fins and tail. Once power was restored, I increased the feedings and I have not seen him biting the angel again for a while. His fins and tail still appear raggedy however. Will they grow back? Anybody have experience with blind fish and how they survive?
Cheers
Simon
