Question about auto water changes

For anyone that is currently using automatic water change systems. How are you keeping the salt water fresh or prevent it from getting that stale smell?

I just run a small power head in my saltwater. Seems to do just fine I have never noticed any smell. I usually make enough for 1 month at a time

I have about 2 weeks of water made and have a power head that gets turned on every day before water changes.
