question about cleaner shrimp.

Just currious how often a cleaner shrimp molts. The one in my tank molted 2 days after he came home, then today roughly 1 month later he did it again. Also should I leave the old shell to do its thing or should I remove it?

Mine molt once a month or every 3 weeks. I remove the molt

It is normal for shrimp to molt right after being transplanted. We often have them do so in the bag on the way to us. I typically remove the molts.

mine molt 1-2x a month each and i leave it generally within 24 hours the molt has been ate up by the fish and crabs

The cleaner shrimp I had molted about once a month. They would get pulled into the rockwork and disappear soon after, so something in the reef really liked it.

Pretty common with ours, it molts about every 3 weeks. I usually remove the molt.
