So I just got a Cyphastrea yesterday, first time keeping one. I want to try to encrust it to the back wall. You can't see in the picture but I didn't do a great job cutting the bottom of the frag plug off, so there is about a 2-3mm ish gap between the plug and the back wall. Do you guys think it will still encrust fine, or should I disturb it again and try to cut it more flush?

It’ll be fine! They can hover-encrust to a certain degree
Thanks that's what I was thinking too, it already went down the sides of the plug and grew onto the bottom of it at the store, so was also feeling like I didn't want to smother that growth as well. Hopefully this a few months
