I received this wonderful, baseball sized tenuis acropora yesterday.
It arrived and the bag did smell a little weird, but could have just been simply the salt water.
Everything was in place, there were a bunch of flakes in the water but not too bad.
I did notice the inner parts of the colony having white spots.
However, after leaving it overnight, this thing has lost a ton of it's color and is flaking all of its brown off in spots (whole trunks are missing the brown coloring).

Could you please tell me: is this salvagable at this point? Or it is simply transport stress and will recover and grow back.

It’s definitely undergoing some (a lot) die off. I’d likely try fragging it at this point if there are any pieces that are completely free of the rtn’ing.

Looks like its a maricultured piece. You could try fraggin some of the tips, see if you can save some of it.

Sadly I think you will loose that. I’d contact the seller and see if you can claim for shipping loss. Other than that, I’d chop it up and pray.

Looks like a millepora....and also a mariculture piece. Are you aware of the pest risks and or care for mariculture? Like someone mentioned, frag anything salvageable. Notify seller if applicable.
