I have a small 29g tank. Just has 2 clowns for now. Soon I will be adding some soft corals and will probably stop there for a bit before I add one more fish and some additional corals later on. I have been using distilled water for top offs but usually just do water changes so far I have been keeping the salinity where I want it.

Is using distilled water safe for when I start adding corals? You don’t need to add any chemicals or anything to distilled water because it has already been treated, right? I can just dump it in for top offs??????

Like I said I have a small tank. Is a RODI unit worth it for such a small tank? Any other alternatives?

You don't need to add anything to distilled and it is fine to add. I don't think a rodi system is worth it for a 29 gallon imo. Some lfs will sell rodi water for 40 cents a gallon which is cheaper than distilled.
