Question on Salt Probe

So I have checked my salinity with two different refractometers, according to those I have my salinity at 1.024. I just got my Neptune this past week and finally hooked it up, the top chart says Salt 36.7, according to certain sites that says my salinity is 1.028. I hope that is not the case because if it is I need to gradually bring it down. Does the Apex need to be configured or what gives?

EDIT: I just watched the BRS video on this Calibrating Salinity and I guess you can do this without the controller he shows?

The salinity probe reading can be off due to bubbles inside the probe, electrical interference from nearby power cords, or by temperature fluctuations. To avoid these possible problems:

1. Invert your salinity probe upside down under water and gently tap it so bubbles escape.
2. Route the salinity probe wire away from all power cords.
