Hi @rvitko & friends,

Had a couple questions:

1) Can I upgrade my old Tunze (Eco model) 6255 controller to the 7020? If so, so I need to purchase any additional parts besides the controller?

2) Can I customize the length of the feed cycle?

3) Can I customize pulse timing? What is the longest I can program it for?

**I'm running 2 x 6255's - one on each side of the overflow on a peninsula-style, 5 ft long tank. Currently I have each pump on a timer - one runs for 12 hours, then turns off and the other run runs for 12 hours. The challenge here is that without a 'grate' available for this model, a snail occasionally will crawl into the shroud, and prevent the pump from starting. Luckily I haven't damaged a pump or killed a fish yet, but it's only a matter of time.

4) Am I able to decrease the speed of the pump to lower than what is capable with the current controller? I ask, as I am running these on the lowest setting (20%). I'd like to have the 'non-pulsing' pump spinning (but much slower than the current minimum of 20%) - just fast enough so that it doesn't create substantial flow, but prevents animals from entering the shroud...

Thank you!

1) Yes, part 7020.150, they are in stock in the US, order it on Tunze.com

2) Yes, and you can set how fast the pump runs off or slow speed.

3) I don't recall exactly but you can set a lot more than you can on what you have, you can set changes all day long, there are a lot of modes and they are generally though in the 0-10 second range for pulses, but you can set so many flow changes in a day that it doesn;t have many limits.

4) No, while you could, 20% is essentially the stall speed, below that the pump wont run and is essentially off. 0-100% is open, but only Stream 3 can do the very slow speeds.
