Question on this light

I have a chance to pick up these hydra 26d’s for a really good price, but I’m not sure what the metal parts are on the edge. Almost looks like lead weghts

Also these are controlled by the app correct or are these the old ones?

Auto tech here, those are 1/4 oz automotive wheel weights used for balancing tires

Why they put them on the lights I cannot tell you, possibly balancing issues, I see hanging cables on the lights but can't imagine that wheel weights would be needed.
They do look like the Hydra 26's that are controlled by the AI app. As long as they work and the price is right, i'd scoop them up.

If they are 26HD's they can be app controlled. Regular 26 can not and have to be controlled by a thingamajig... or just the button on the side.
