I have been having troubles with my Jebao DP-4. For some reason my dosing lines go 'dry' after a few days of operation. I have the left lines going into my dosing containers and the right line to the tank. For some reason it just doesn't keep liquid in the line so it doesn't dose. Does anyone have any experience with this or any advice? Thanks

  1. I get air bubbles in my newer lines that accumulate enough to interfere with dosing. They seem to "precipitate" out of solution. My older lines stopped doing it after quite some time.
  2. The whitish pump tubing might have a split or hole.
  3. Your tubing might not be completely sealed where it connects to the pump's tubing.
  4. Your tubing might have a split or hole.
If you don't get tiny bubbles forming on the wall of the tubing, then you can rule out #1.

If you have plenty of air line tubing, try just changing out the tubing from your dosing container and the tubing to your tank...in the process, you can possibly rule out #3 and #4.

If you get this far, then you're left with #2. If the pump is new/within warranty, go back to the retailer or contact their distributor and see if they will replace the tubing, pump head or the whole unit. Hopefully you don't have to learn Chinese anywhere in that process.
