Hello,

I just ordered a Red Sea Max Peninsula Nano :D, so in a due time I will know anyway - but I am very excited so waiting proves difficult ...

I love the tank except that it comes with a tiny ATO container, I found a much bigger one that will fit the cabinet, but I guess I will also need a whole ATO system, like a Tunze ATO Nano? Or is there a way to just replace containers and use whatever Red Sea is using? I am guessing no?

Also, what do you guys do with an stock ATO container? is it possible/worth it to turn it into a tiny refugium for pods?

Assuming I get something like Tunze ATO, should I just put water level indicator into the tank and remove stock ATO container? or use extra ATO to refill stock one?

I have a Red Sea reefer 350 g2 and wasn’t a fan of the ATO reservoir for a number of reasons. I let my wife use it for a freshwater planted tank :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes: , and replaced it with an optical ATO system and external reservoir.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
