new to reefing as you cant tell by my username lol. just went to my lfs and picked up a bubble tip anemone the worker didnt treat it well and when i got home and put it in the tank it was shriveld up and looked dead. now at the end of the day it looks like its thriving which i am now happy but have a few questions

What is the best food for it and how often. I have zoo plankton and frozen brine shrimp as of right now

i placed it at the very top of my rock about 13 inches from my light, i read that they will move around to where they want to be but wanting to know if that is true.

how long does it take to grow/get bigger. it is currently about 2 inches wide and is there any tricks to making it look full and big.

I have 2 mocha clown and wanting to know how to help them host this anemone

I usually would feed mine mysis shrimp every 3ish days. You don't want to overfeed it as it can cause it to do worse than better.

Your anemone is going to move around until it finds a place it likes the most, and will "anchor" its foot. It could stay in that spot indefinitely or move the next day, welcome to the world of an anemone, haha.

It will progressively grow overtime as long as it's getting adequate lighting, proper flow and your tank remains stable

Having your anemone host the clowns is up to the clowns. Some people have had success with trying to feed clowns near the anemone. Some people (like myself) will never see their clown show interest in their anemone, while others will have the anemone hosting the clowns within a week.

Hope these answer your questions!

Ensuring anemone success has many variables.
Hosting is also a "maybe, maybe not " situation and, over the years I've seen it happen in the most unlikely of situations and seen it not happen when you thought it should.
What I do when introducing an anemone is turn off all flow but your return and let it find a spot.
Some are rock dwellers, some sand some like the glass.
I try and let them decide.
Once they plant, resume flow.
This is easier with adjustable powerheads/wavemakers.
If you don't have those, try pointing them away, etc, from the anemone and the anemone will definitely let you know what's up!
Some love flow, others not so much.
Read up on yours at length, know it's care and you will have a happy anemone and you'll be happy too 😊.
