What's up everyone. I posted on here a while back about building a stand with an awkward profile. Well that's still the plan some time in the near future. The wife wants new floors and we recently started looking at houses. Both of which means a new, bigger, tank (hopefully lol). So in the meantime, I decided to build this cabinet so that I could start using my Christmas gifts. ( X1 pumps & simplicity container)

Looks good if you do get your own house you might want to build something like I did in my garage. I also have the RODI unit out there with my storage tanks which are under the workbench. The tank is 35ft away from the garage. I also have controllers at the tank that are in the same collective. Pumps and DI solenoids are on the right sides and the controllers on the left. The RODI is to the right in the photo just out of the picture.

That is awesome ! I thought about using my garage as an equipment/filter room since the tank sits on the same wall but it's not insulated. The house that we're going to look at has a room right next to the utility room and would give me the space for a setup like yours.

How do you like the hydros controller?
I really like the Hydros system. I am switching from the Archon to the Hydros as I have time and money. Right now the only thing left on the Archon is 3 lighting channels and moon lights. I now have 4 Hydros controllers at the tank and 5 in the garage. The refill of the DI is automated, If the fresh saltwater tank goes low it will transfer water from the mix tank to the fresh saltwater tank if the mix tank is ready to use. It will then refill the mix tank from the RODI. All I have to do is add the salt mix and press a button when the mix tank is ready to use. Below are a couple of pages on my Hydros app. The first 3 screenshots are form the hex tank page and the last three are from the garage page. Each page you have the controllers, inputs, outputs and wifi devices you want on that particular page. The third and 4 tile in the first row of inputs on the first screenshot is readings from my Kamoer KH Carer.

I forgot to mention my garage is not insulated either. If it is going to get down into the 20's or colder I leave a space heater on out there on low just to keep in above freezing since we have other devices along with the aquarium things out there also that are connected to the water supply. So I have had it get down to the low 40's and up as high as 110 degrees in the garage. Since ai don't do large AWC's or the ATO is not a lot at a time the temp difference has never been a problem. ai have had the tanks and the ATO, AWC and All For Reef dosing pumps out there for over 7 years now.

@n2585722 - That is a nice set up. Out of curiosity; have you ever given thought to building a reef-pi? Either for fun or functionality or both?

Yes I did think about it before the Hydros came out. I even got the computer board. That now has a hard drive hooked to it and is a file server on my network.
