Are you able to get real ocean live rock? My tanks have never had an ugly stage. There are disadvantages, but I love looking at new live rock as much or more than coral.

Hello Fishy, sadly not. Living in switzerland, so its a bit far away from any ocean. All we have in our LFS is the real rock (not sure if thats the correct name). But its been 5 years now since then, i guess everything ahould be cycled by now? The macro algae is slowly starting to go away, at least i dont see much growth anymore, if any at all
