I have some purplish clove polyps that have spread on my rock. I know they can be invasive so I was going to remove any rocks from the tank that had polyps on it. Before I had the chance, my c. racemosa started spreading. Will the racemosa outcompete the polyps and kill them off so that I don't have to remove the rocks, scrub and do a flucozonole treatment?

I doubt that Caulerpa racemosa will eradicate Clove polyps. However, it’s holdfast on your live rock will become a problem as it is more invasive than clove polyps.

Is this a macro algae display. I maintain a Caribbean lagoon with ornamental seaweeds, softies, mixed filter feeders and Butterfly fish.

Not at macroalgae display, but planning a tank similar to what yours is. Moving away from Sps and going to a less maintenance tank with softies, gorgonians, and few lps, and possibly some ornamental macros that my cuc won't devour. I've never had an issue with the racemosa taking over and maybe it's due to the large number of red macros in my refugium. It's also been pretty easy to remove by hand.

I like easy reefing. I also like red & green seaweeds in display. This tank is full of Xenia & GSP so Butterfly’s & Drawf Angels are welcome to graze on polyps. I just added a Coral Beauty and two Butterflies. I have found Butterfly fish to be much nicer than Tangs.
