Hello,

I have an LPS dominant tank, and I can't decide between the blue or the pro.

I know that the blue is optimized for the ab+ setting. Can I run ab+ on my LPS tank? There is also the coralife LPS/soft template, can I run this template on the blue or will I be better off with the Pro?

With LPS the blue would work fine. LPS aren’t very high demanding so getting a cheaper light makes sense

I run 2x XR15 blue along with the WWC mixed reef template which is ***** blue. I do not run the AB+ because I do not have any SPS in yet, so there is no point. That is my opinion anyway.

Try the WWC 120g mixed reef which is easy to import and see what you think. I suck at photos so far, but here is a pic.

I should also say that I have never owned the pro, but should you start to prefer white light, be aware that the blue really only can produce a soft white light and will not give you those crisp bright whites some lights have.
