Quick question. Anyone use 2 xr15s rather than the larger radions on a 75g?

Was wondering which route I should go?

2x XR15w pro
Or
2x XR30w pro

Thanks

I would go with 2x XR30 (actually, I would use 3)

Mount them so you have 4 pucks in a square fashion. This would give you more even lighting distribution.

4 x 2 x 1

I feel I get better results from mounting the Radions higher, currently I have then 20" above the water. It helps reduce hots spot burning on corals

Oops, just realise that question was probably not directed at me, sorry... will leave the info anyway, it may help

The optics on the Radion and designed for them to be mounted 9" off the water.

4' long, x 2' front to back, x 1' tall? You could get away with two XR15 Pro's with wide angle lens.

I'd say decent results but honestly I don't have anything to compare to. Everything has grown, but i do only run lps/softies.....I don't know how sps would fair.

You would be fine with 2 XR15 Pros. You would get better coverage with 2 XR30 Pros. The XR15s Pros are a single puck which means a single source of light. If you are going to be keeping sps then the XR30 Pros would give you better light blending and less shadowing.
