Good morning, i wanted to reach out and see your opinions on the Anemone i recently purchased. I have a Rainbow Bubble Tip Anemone that has been in my tank for awhile and it has a very vivid coloration that really pops. It is the anemone on the right in the pictures below. I then purchased another Rainbow Bubble Tip Anemone online, but when it arrived the colors are very muted in comparison. I know that there is some variation between RBTAs but in this case it seems pretty drastic. My question is this, do you think it may color up now that they are under the same lighting conditions? Or do you think it will keep the more plain coloration?

Sorry i cant get a more clear image, both anemones have decided to sit on the back of this large rock structure. Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

it might, but there are several colors of BTA and as such may just be what it is. It also depends on what the tank parameters and lightning was where you got it from. Only time will tell, but as long as it looks healthy, that’s the biggest concern right now. Tank looks nice btw!

Thank you for the input MikeyZo, for this tank(hopefully my last reef tank) i was hoping to be a lot more selective of the coral i buy and keep only the brightest corals i could find. My main concern is this one staying really dull(almost invisible under blues) and multiplying out of control. I will keep an eye on it for a few months and see how it does, if there is no change i will most likely trade it for something else.

Also thank you for the positive comments on the tank!
