Hey guys,

So just got my first chalice (a 4” Hollywood Stunner). Looking through the sticky list, it looks like there area few rainbow chalices but none seem to be in stock anywhere and a search doesn’t seem anyone one owns one (at least not since 2012-2015 or so. Do the rainbows actually keep their rainbow coloration or do they usually settle into one color as they grow? Anyone have colony pics of their rainbows?

I looked in there but hard to go through 504 pages. Most only seem to still be on frag plugs

Not sure what to say then, but to answer your question yes many keep their colors and yes many colony pictures in there if want to take the time to look...and many of them are fairly recent.

They keep their colours as they grow. In Canada, we have a very popular one called RRC Rainbow Dynamite

Awesome. Thanks for the responses guys. I just bought two “rainbow” chalices online (should be delivered tomorrow). We shall see. They don’t have all the colors and look like fresh frags from their online pics

Just so you know if not already. The hollywood stunner is a fast grower and puts out long sweepers that kill about anything they touch (mine got moved to back of the tank and is as big as both my hands). My 2 rainbow chalices grow very slow, One of them only grew green and purple since i bought it.
Also have a MyMiami chalice that turned more orange than blue... this could be from lighting though??/

Yea my stunner “frag” is about palm sized and it’s isolated to the bottom corner. Flow pushes the sweepers down and around the rock there

So this is what I received:

They are a far cry from the over saturated eBay photos but being no namers at a good price it was worth a shot. The color is slightly better in person but nothing like your photos as far as color goes. I’m not complaining as I was well aware the eBay photos were well oversaturated

My rainbow and keeps getting more colors as it grows
chalice.jpg
My piece is somewhat similar to yours. Started as a plane Jane Mummy eye and it got stung. As it healed it got crazy colors. Yellow, purple blue, 2 different shades of green and now pink. Pretty wild
