Rainbow Stylo Questions ??

I’ve really never ventured into SPS territory usually stick with nems and softies a few LPS here and there. Can’t keep a torch in my tank to save my life for some reason.

If ur keeping the clam I don’t see any issues w stylophora montipora or seriatopora tbh
Thanks I just hope I find a good spot for it. Yes ordered that some green star polyps and some fruit loop zoas

I would place it high and give it plenty of room for growth.
Stylos like high light.
This is my purple in my 80.
Tanks 8 months old.
Stylo went in at 2 months so 6 months growth.
Growth is not as fast as my halides but pretty close.
Pic 3 is under my old halide system.
Current pics under radion blues.
You can also see the stags growth.

I have like 5 or 6 stylos. Just really like the thick branches and flowing PE. If you like stylos then look at montipora digita to like forest fire monti digi. They are similar in care as stylos and have that nice flowing PE but offer a great color contrast to stylos. You can see my purple stylo and forest fire digi near each other at the top middle.

Beautiful tank the forest fire ones are awesome. I was looking at some bubblegum digi’s they are all amazing. Maybe a birds nest will be next if this stylo hangs in there.

My first SPS was a free stylo frag at about 9 months on the tank. It was a tester for me and it didn't make it. After the tank turned a year everything just became much more stable and predictable and I haven't lost a frag sense. You will know when your tank is ready so just start slow with some inexpensive tester SPS frags.
