I've being thinking about getting a rainford's goby and I was wonder what people experiences was with them? I understand for long term survival they need some algae to graze on. My lfs has 4 they the have had for well over 4 weeks so I can closely watch them and also see if the will eat other foods. My only concern is compatibly with my eyelash blenny who I've had for 3 months not sure if there will issues with competing for foods? Tank is a 25 gallon sumped cube.

There shouldn't be any issue between the rainford and the eyelash blenny. The difficult thing about rainfords is that some will not accept prepared foods. If you get one that is eating already, then there shouldn't be much of an issue.

I've kept a Rainsford Goby in my 240 for a couple years.
What I read about it was that it needed algae to graze on too. But I really haven't seen that. I don't have hardly any algae, but do have a little in a couple spots, but I've never seen the goby in those areas.
It likes most frozen food and will eat ROE.

I had one. It never did much algae grazing, mostly sand sifting. Mine also ate frozen food but it needs to be small pieces. I think if you have an established sand bed you'll be fine.
