Randals goby not chill

I got a Randall's goby, and everywhere I read about them before I got him, people said they were chill.
The only fish he is scared of are my tangs, and even they barely pay attention to him.
He is only about 2-3 cm, but he has squares up to my Melanarus wrasse once or twice. He even attacks him if he gets too close to the cave where he lives with a pistol shrimp, and that wrasse is like 7-9 cm long and five times his size. It is not a problem since the tank is big enough. It is just funny how you sometimes end up with a fish whose personality is the complete opposite of what people say online.

They're all critters.

I did have some aggression when I added three yellow tangs, my sailfin was not happy.

I started feeding more, and almost all of the aggression stopped.

Could you maybe have researched the Rainsford goby? The Rainsford is a decidedly peaceful fish, also called a Court Jester Goby.

Not really. The most common point I came across when I researched the Randall's goby was that people said they are so peaceful they’ll even share burrows with other gobies. Mine doesn't do that.

Well as mentioned, all animals are individuals, and temperament can only be estimated. Maybe in time he'll settle down a bit.

Honestly I like it. I like it when fish are being little trolls... I guess that is why I like blennies so much.

Years ago we have a one of the black with yellow tail bennies, and he was the biggest jerk in my 125.

My tangs are the top dogs in my tank, but my bicolor blenny will just swim out of his hole/cave to bite one of them when they graze on his rock, tick them off, then swim back into his hole it is so much fun to watch.
