So right now i have been running the Photon 48 for 3 weeks or so and wanted to make sure im doing everything right. All my corals are super happy. I'm Really Really Really Happy with this unit!!!

I'm running them at 52% / 52%

I just wanted to double check to see if i should be running more blue than white or if equal % is okay? I dont know the numbers side of the fence with LED's. I mean i like the colors everything looks good but i just want to make sure this is best for my corals.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

I run my blues one hour before the whites and run both together for eight and then the blues run for a hour. I like the color with both on at the same time.

Everything I've read says run more blues than whites...I don't know how solid a rule that is or if you just don't need the extra white. I like the bluer look anyway, so I run my blues at about 66% and my whites at about 33%

I run my Photon 48 at 70% blue, 30% white. I had it at 60/40 but was torching coral. I haven't not gone above 50% on my 75g.

Blues are more for your happiness and eye appeal. But that can be wrong when dealing with deepwater corals. The only light spectrum they are stated to be getting is the bluish. So I keep it simple whites means growth, blue means dang those look good.

My post may have been misleading. My max blue setting is 52%, max white is 17%. light hangs 8" over tank. I worked the lights up over 3 weeks.
