Rare basslets

Looking for rare basslets. Willing to pay the right price. Preferably under 3 inches.

Probably more so the Platinum white. More rare. The purple is more common although I do not know how the numbers compare between the two. Probably a good question for Biota :) Honestly though, these used to be super rare at least in the US due to import restrictions which had them originally in the $4,000 USD price range. Here in lies one of the positives from aquaculture and captive breeding. $600 USD may still seem high but it sure is a lot better than the original $4K they demanded. Still cheaper in EMEA is my understanding but still, a nice fish at a reasonable price.

I was going to recommend Biota's Australian Flathead Pearch, but it is too large and then I noticed the OP specifically said basslet :D So that leaves us with something like a Candy Basslet type. Liopropoma or a hybrid of.

Man I’ve been wanting the platinum Cuban basslet for a while now, it’s probably my #1 holy Grail right now, I have the purple variant of the Cuban and it’s beautiful so I can just imagine how the platinum is, I thought about the Australian flathead perch, but it just seems a little too big for me. The other basslets that I am interested in are African Reef Basslet(Liopropoma africanum),
Threeline basslet (Lipogramma trilineata),
and Bi-color basslet (Lipogramma klayi)

I have a Cuban basslet, swalesi basslet pair, cave basslet. They’re all in different tanks, I’m probably getting another cave basslet and selling the one I have because it’s a little too big for my liking.

Yea and a Madagascar wrasse and diamond tail wrasse. Yellow tang and white tail bristletooth tang, 2 clowns and a blotchy. Blotchy will harass the wrasses but never the basslets and the basslets seem very mellow. I’ve seen the Cuban chase the wrasses when they were new and exploring its territories. I have a rock it likes to hang out in and poke its head out. No issues between the 2 basslets but I’ve seen ppl recommend to get a pair of the candies.

i have a yellow and blue assessor from ny aquatic. get along fine.and both eat like champs. the MacNeill blue is a crazy color of blue.
