Need to supply 3100-3200 gph to a Uv sterilizer. Will the RD3 150W flow pump produce enough flow to supply both the uv and a 225 gal.?

I don't know enough about uv sterilizers, but just looking at the numbers, maybe not to get the perfect sweet spot for a reef tank.
If this was a fish only system, then you probably could.
Several things come into play when you plumb everything.
Is the outflow from the uv going to be the return back to the tank?

Do you really want 10x ( guessing ) return flow?
If I were to use a uv sterilizer, I would use a dedicated pump. Keep the return pump separate.

If the uv was plumbed as a closed loop and the returns weren't going all the way to the top of the tank, you could get closer to that flow rate for a reef tank.

Think I'll just run a dedicated pump as a closed loop. Thanks for the replies.
