So back in December I bought some live rock used most of it and then set 5 pcs outside in saltwater but then forgot about it and of course it snowed and got really below zero so now it's all thawed out lol.
I know all the life is gone although it does still smell like the ocean lol.
I can use a few pcs in my tank what do I do with it to get it ready to put in the DT ?
Thanks

If just adding one piece at a time and it does not stink. I would just wash it off in old tank water before adding it to your tank. Your system should be able to deal with minimal die off. I would not add a bunch at once.

Put it in some fresh saltwater with a WaveMaker. Let it go for a week and then test the ammonia, no3 and no4. Once no ammonia is reading its safe to add.
