I presently have a sump and an external etss Gemini 800 protein skimmer running on my 300g predominant sps tank with a fairly heavy bio load. I'm looking to change over to a refugium and internal skimmer. My present sump/skimmer is around 8 years old and I'm tired of the constant salt creep around the downdraft tubes of the skimmer. Need to get something more efficient to handle the bio load since it has increased quite a bit since I first set up the system. They would have to fit under my stand which has room for a refugium of dimensions 36L x 18W x 20H (due to other equipment taking up space). Skimmer max height of 26 or so. $$$ somewhat of a factor but I know you get what you pay for. Any help is appreciated!
