I’ve had this red/purple algae in my tank for a long time. It grows mainly in places it won’t get eaten like the snail shells. First pic is with a hermit picking at it on the snail, the other is a couple small tufts of it on a rock. It never grows long it stays very short and stays in check with the CUC.

Any ideas on an ID?
