Red Apple Favia help

Well, I have noticed white pots on the end of my favia where it was cut and I am wondering if these spots are growth or bite marks that could be from my lemonpeel. I have since moved that coral and another favia into another tank that has no predatory fish to these corals to help them recover if this is the case of a fish nipping. Any thoughts I can provide pictures once the lights come on if that helps. Also any tips on favias is greatly appreciated. I heard they are slow growers but if the white spots on the end is growth well awesome if not well crap. its wierd though my war coral si doing amazin not bite marks it looks like and has great color.

I believe to have had it for 3-4 months. It is lit with Sb reef lights which are set half way on whites and 3/4 on blue. As of right now it is on the opposite
side of my gyre so it is not getting much flow. I did purchase another which is coming soon. Along with more light.

In the second image, the white/faded spots on the frag, are those what you're talking about? I'm guessing that head died in the first image?

I wouldn't get too excited yet, see what it does. Could be a fluctuation or instability in parameters, or growth. I'm no favia pro, but unless the coral is drastically dying off, less is more. See what it does, if it clearly gets worse, then consider your options. If it stays consistent, be patient.
