I would just give it more time. Gonis can take a loooooooong time to acclimate to your tank. As long as it continues to look healthy, with no tissue recession leave it be. Keep up on trace elements and amino acids (I use AquaForest products for both) and you should be good to go.

I've found success in this dip to get gonis polyps to come out more, but this is in cases of coral decline or closing polyps after it's been happy for a long time. It's worth a read, but if suggest not doing it now since you just got the coral and it's likely just acclimating.

Sometimes corals open more at night because that's when they feed. Is it possible it's getting too much light? What light are you running and what are the tank dimensions, and is the coral under the light (or way to the left or right)?

Sorry, I know nothing about that light. But I wouldn't think your goni is getting too much light from it. If you want though, you can try moving it to a sightly lower lighted part of your tank and see how it reacts. Just be careful not to stress out the Goni too much

I don't think it's starving yet. It has polyps out all the time, which is a good sign! Let me know how it continues to act and if anything changes, and I'll do my best to help!
