no AEFW's and the light spot "its not white just a light pink" moves around after a few days a new branch will start to grow in that spot. when i bought this coral it was a dark green and only had about three branches and was maybe 3/4 of an inch tall now 4 months later this is what i have it has been doing this for about 3 months.

I find when it is growing fast and/or high light it seems to lose the green, i took mine and put it under low light for a while, and almost the entire coral turned green w/dark red corallites. Now it is under high light again and only has a slight green around the base with pink/white tips and growing very fast

I've heard others say that the green pales & is taken over by reds under higher light...I moved mine down to about 20" below water level, 28 below lights...I have an ATI Powermodule t5...pretty bright even down near the bottom. My green is still doing ok, and don't want to lose it.

planet

I grow this coral. It tends to lose the green coloration under 10k lights. When grown under 14-20k lights the green is much more prominent. Mine are under 10k 400w Reeflux MH and the only green they show is on the underside of the branches.
Putting it lower in the tank would help a little too.

I think your Alk might be a bit high. I like to run it 8.5-10, no higher. I think 12 is pushing it. I have a large red planet thta is bright red/pink. The yellow/green has slowly degraded (i wish it didn't), but its really pink and red and pretty. JMO, but 12 is too high.
