SCIENTIFIC NAME –Heniochus intermedius

COMMON NAME – Red Sea Bannerfish

SIZE – 7.1" (18 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 75 US Gal. (284 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING – The Red Sea Bannerfish consumes finely chopped meaty foods, vitamin enriched brine shrimp, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, and frozen preparations for herbivores. Should be fed a minimum of 3 times per day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY – With caution; nips some seeile invertebrates and stony coral polyps.

CAPTIVE CARE – The Red Sea Bannerfish can be kept in shallow or deep tanks if fed frequently. This species takes longer to acclimate to captivity (recommended 4 weeks, or until eating aggressively). It should be kept with small peaceful tank mates and will not acclimate if harassed or if there is too much activity in or around the tank by the aquarist. This fish prefers an environment with plenty of hiding spots and can be kept in pairs if both specimens are introduced at the same time.
