The instructions are pretty clear. You measure the amount of reagent remaining in the syringe and compare it with the chart when the sample water turns blue. In your case, you have blue sample water with zero MLs left in the reagent syringe. This means you used 1ML of reagent which equates to a Ca reading of 500ppm.

Be very careful not to over do it with the reagent, it will turn back to purple after a few seconds, this is normal.

So I heard i have to get between 415-425 for soft corals.
How to drop the calcium?
Thank you

I use the Red Sea calcium test myself. I would also recommend getting a Salivert CalciumTest kit so that you can compare the both, generally what happens is mine RS reads 500 calcium and 470 for Salifert as long as Salifert is reading 470 that you know you’re at least 500 with the Red Sea.

I have two tanks. The main tank is 425 gallons .With the sump its about 525. I also have a Fragg tank with sump , about 50 gallons. I did three test on each one . First was Hanna Calcium . Main tank was 499 ppm. Fragg tank was 502 ppm. Next was Sailfert Calcium . Main tank was 385 ppm . Fragg tank was 340 ppm. Third test was A.P.I . Main tank was 420 ppm . Frag tank was 460 ppm. Which one should I trust ????
