Red Sea Max c-250 66 gal All in one tank. 1500.00 with upgraded LED lights in original hood
Willing to sell here for a bit less than on craigslist

Between Good and Excellent condition--Needs some clean up yet.

I upgraded to a 125 gal tank and just can't keep 2 going. This is a beautiful all in one reef tank. The pictures with fish and rock is approx. a year ago. Fish and live rock not included. Original parts included except for upgraded LED lights in hood. Not sure if the current tank systems have the same exact parts. The LED lights were over 1000.00 to upgrade. No heater included or wave pumps. Includes the 2 original pumps, original skimmer, upgraded LED lights, media basket, aquarium stand.

Might be willing to include a few extras like wave maker or heater or some rock depending on price. You can also see my build thread with this tank.

I got the tank out of the box new, but never used in 2016. It was a beautiful tank and perfect beginner tank—not too big, not too small. Upgraded to a larger tank and decided one tank was enough work! Loved this tank, but to keep 2 tanks stocked is expensive, not to mention time consuming. You can see my build thread on this tank.

This was a great introduction into saltwater aquariums. The thought of a sump was daunting to me. Having an all in one (AIO) made it less scary. Everything works well, had it going up until 2 weeks ago—about 2.5 years—when I drained it to clean and prepare to sell. All pumps cleaned and soaked in vinegar/water to remove as much coraline algae (the good purple stuff). One cool feature is the built in power center. Tank needs some cleaning. I can’t get into the sump area unless the aquarium is taken down and put on the ground or a cart. All equipment cleaned and the stand is in excellent shape. Aquarium needs some more cleaning.

Lights were upgraded to LED’s from the T5 lighting system it came with in 2018. The pictures I’ve attached are from when it was in its prime. Please email if you’d like images of the pumps or skimmer. Or if you have any questions.

MAX C-250 Rear Sump
The Red Sea MAX C-250 aquariums are divided into 2 parts, Aquarium and the Rear Sump that discretely houses all of the filtration and circulation systems. The MAX C-250 sumps contain multistage filtration consisting of a REEF-SPEC® protein skimmer, activated carbon and mechanical filter materials. The sump has dedicated space available for additional chemical filter media as well as the addition of a chiller.

Detachable Surface Skimmer
The water flows from the aquarium to the rear sump via a detachable surface skimmer (1) located across the top of the dividing glass wall that directs the organics laden water from the upper surface of the tank into the sump. Each section of the surface skimmer is detachable for easy maintenance.

MAX C 250 Protein Skimmer

The heart of the filtration system is the protein skimmer (2). The all new MSK 900 skimmers developed for the Red Sea MAX C-250 implement Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC® criteria for SPS corals, passing the entire volume of the aquarium water through the skimmer at least 3 times per hour and with a 3 to 1 water to air ratio. The new design of skimmers is not affected by the regular fluctuation in the water level of the rear sump due to evaporation, and has an adjustable outlet gate to maintain the optimal skimmate consistency which will vary according to actual water conditions. The new skimmer pump and impellor run cooler and quieter than before and the built in silencer on the air intake does a great job of eliminating skimmer noise.

Skim Adjuster
Red Sea’s MAX C-250 all new MSK 900 protein skimmers are easily adjusted by raising and lowering the Skim Adjuster that sets the water height within the neck of the skimmer. Additional control is available when required by adding the optional valve on the air intake.

MAX C 250 Media Rack
A dedicated media rack (3) provides a convenient system for maintaining the various filter media such as the phosphate-free high quality carbon (4) that is supplied with the MAX C-250 system.

MAX C 250 Twin 2150 lph Circulation Pumps
The MAX C-250 twin 2150 lph circulation pumps (5) located at the bottom of the sump creates a forced flow through the mechanical filter media (7) and returns the filtered water back to the tank through the multidirectional outlet nozzles.

MAX C 250 – Chiller Ready (Optional Chiller Kit)
The MAX C-250 sump has a dedicated place for the addition of a chiller pump (11) as well as a convenient connection bracket (10) for the chiller piping (Chiller and pipes are not supplied with the system).

MAX C 250 In Cabinet Power Center
The power center for the MAX C-250 has been relocated to a convenient position within the cabinet. The 7 channel power centre operates all of the stock items as well as providing at least 2 spare switched outlets for optional equipment such as a chiller.
Safety features include a splash cover over the power outlets as well as a built in circuit breakers
