Red Sea Nano Protein Skimmer - Frustration!

This little skimmer is a bear to fine tune! At what point do I throw in the towel and get a Tunze DC skimmer to replace this?

It seems the micro adjustments I'm making to get the right bubble size is pointless, assumptions are the DC skimmer is a lot easier to set up and get in place.

Anyone else get to that point with this Red Sea Nano skimmer and say the heck with it and just replace it?

Not sure what your tank size is, but yes, the Tunze, Bubble Magus and new Ice Cap protein skimmers are all worth considering as a potential replacement.

I had one too - and had the same frustrations. I fixed the issue - upgraded to a larger tank. :O

The ice cap and eshoppes are bad. Get the magus miniq or qq. People are starting to recommend the magtool nano skimmer on Amazon also. There is another thread about this going right now.
