So after the disappointment of the RSR170 (tank was delivered broken), I've started up a RSRNano which I picked up for a decent price. I'm going to document my progress here, hopefully to help others and to receive feedback/ideas etc from the reefing community. Tanks been up for about 2 weeks so far. No livestock added. Probably still about 2 weeks away before that happens.
Equipment list:

RSRNano
Carib Sea Fiji pink (10kg)
Carib Sea life rock (~20kg)
Bubble Magus Curve 5
AI Prime and mounting bracket (will arrive at the end of the week)
Algae barn ultimate refugium starter pack (small size)
Eheim 2100 compact pump - soon to be replaced with a Jebao DCP 3500
light for the refugium and a light for the sump
DIY acrylic lid
Filter media cup with floss and matrix
bag of carbon
Eheim 125 watt jaegar heater placed into the overflow
inkbird controller
vortech mp10 powerhead
added flow randomizer nozzle
put together a small cabinet to house electricals

Haven't really seen much in terms of diatoms. The plan is to slowly to move the stock out of my EVO 13.5 into the RSRNano over the coming months. I'll try to post as much as I can when I can.
I 3D printed a baffle and painted the bottom of the sump white. After adding the chaeto to the DIY fuge section, I realised that the design wouldn't work. I added a black piece of acylic to the side to direct flow through it and to reduce the amount the amount of flow. You can see the bodge job in the photos, but it works.
Hopfully I can grow a decent pod population and use the macroalgae for nutrient transport. At the moment I'm running the fuge light from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
